Vertigo & Dizziness
Signs and symptoms can vary from person to person, but most patients experience periods of dizziness, a sense that their surroundings are spinning (vertigo), blurred vision, and nausea or vomiting. Symptoms usually don’t last more than a few minutes. Patients diagnosed with BPPV, or benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, are treated by our therapists with great success.
Taylor Creek therapists are trained to assess and treat these conditions. Manual techniques are used to alleviate the symptoms, and instruction is given to help you manage the symptoms and understand the causes.
Common symptoms may include:
- Dizziness from a change in position (bending over then standing upright)
- Vertigo or your surroundings are spinning
- Nystagmus (abnormal rhythmic eye movements)
- Loss of balance
- Blurred vision with the sensation of vertigo
